Emeritus professors of Iowa State University, the views through the lenses of the Oulmans display their love of global travel and their talent in photography. Join Chuck and Motoko in the Octagon Gallery Shop on Saturday, July 3 from noon to 1:00 pm for an informal discussion on taking remarkable travel photos. Afterwards, be sure to view the exhibit “Snapshots of Ames” in the third floor Octagon Galleries. This is one journey you do not have to pack your passport to enjoy!

Learn to prepare, center and throw clay using an electric wheel, creating vessels of all kinds. The first 4 meetings will focus on creating your clay forms. Come back the following week to learn how to glaze and fire your pieces. Loading of the kiln will be covered and a final critique and presentation of your work will take place on the last day.
