Travel Photography with Charles and Motoko Oulman

Description:  

The photography of Chuck and Motoko Lee Oulman takes you on a visual journey to exotic locations and faraway sights. Emeritus professors of Iowa State University, the views through the lenses of the Oulmans display their love of global travel and their talent in photography. Join Chuck and Motoko in the Octagon Gallery Shop on Saturday, July 3 from noon to 1:00 pm for an informal discussion on taking remarkable travel photos. Afterwards, be sure to view the exhibit “Snapshots of Ames” in the third floor Octagon Galleries. This is one journey you do not have to pack your passport to enjoy!

All framed and matted photographic prints by Chuck and Motoko will be offered at 15% savings during the month of July.

Wheel Throwing Camp, Ages 13 – 15
July 12 – 15 and July 20, 21 (6 classes) $145
1 – 3 pm
Learn to prepare, center and throw clay using an electric wheel, creating vessels of all kinds. The first 4 meetings will focus on creating  your clay forms. Come back the following week to learn how to glaze and fire your pieces. Loading of the kiln will be covered and a final critique and presentation of your work will take place on the last day.
