Spend the morning browsing the unique shops on Main Street, then spend a relaxing and creative afternoon in workshops at the Octagon Center for the Arts and Quilting Connection.

  • At the Octagon Center for the Arts - supplies will be provided to make original, handcrafted cards to send to friends and family. Plan on 30-60 minutes.

Next Stop:

  • At the Quilting Connection - choose fabrics from the store's huge selection to make an easy, banded pillowcase. Plan on about 60 minutes. Or - schedule a full-day workshop for a more in-depth project.

Don't forget - lunch and coffee breaks at one of the District's many eateries will provide just the right menu!

PRETTY & PAMPERED


Plan a morning getting relaxed and pretty before enjoying a great lunch in the District and a long browse up and down Main Street.

  • At Avenues for Health - make arrangements for a full massage or chair massage to get all the kinks out and get you in the right mood for the day.

Next stop:

  • At Pink Caddy Image Center - schedule a full glamor makeover from cleansing to gloss! Plan on 1 and 1/2 hours.

Top the day off with a delicious meal in the District - from Italian to Thai to classic American cuisine, you'll find something that satisfies!

EVERYDAY BEAUTY


Inspire yourself to dress up your home surroundings and learn something new about gracious living.


  • At Everts Flowers & Gifts - staff designers will demonstrate simple to sophisticated styles of floral designs that will be sure to inspire and impress! Huge selection of silk items. Plan on 30-60 minutes.

Next stop:

  • At Great Stuff selective consignment, learn about Dining Etiquette, Linens: History & Care, or Interior Design Tips. Plan on 45 minutes to an hour.

Be sure to leave time to sample all the wares up and down Main Street!

COOKING & BREWING


Foodies unite! Cook up a memorable experience in The District.

  • At Cook's Emporium - schedule a cooking demonstration: of seasonal recipes, and stay to browse the tantalizing selection of cookware and home accessories. Plan on 60 minutes.

Next stop:

  • At Olde Main Brewing Co & Restaurant - The Brew Master will take you on a tour of the brewery facility and will explain each step of the brewing process. Both fresh brewed beers and "Red Monkey" root beer are brewed in house. Plan for 30 minutes.

After all this - what else can you do but enjoy a great meal before you leave Main Street?

CHOCOLATE TOUR


Who can resist a tour of Main Street's delectable chocolate shoppes?

  • At Chocolaterie Stam, learn the rich European History of Chocolaterie Stam and get a hands-on lesson in the history of chocolate. There will be plenty of Fine European Chocolates to sample.

Next stop:

  • At Temptations on Main, you will smell, taste and create chocolate! Learn the basics along with some advance techniques in chocolate molding from Temptations on Main. Sampling is highly recommended! Plan on 45-60 minutes.

With these sweet energy stops, you'll be ready to spend a few hours seeing what else is on Main Street!
